Problem Description

As we are moving away from Confluence, we need to expose its exported content.

Background

Moving from Confluence, we need to expose its exported content.

Solution

The content is already exported in HTML/CSS format, we just need to host such content in a way it’s accessible, and only internally. The SRE team proposed to host such contents on the AWS S3 hosting solution. The solution is available in the following link: https://confluence.ebury.rocks.

Alternatives

We could host on any other platform.

Caveats

Access will be limited through VPN and IPs of the offices.

Operation

The SRE team will set up the S3 instance, we’ll be manually uploading the contents.

Security Impact

As data will be accessible only through VPN and IPs of the offices, there shouldn’t be any major concern.

Deployment

One deployment will be enough, as data is not supposed to change over time.
